Where Financial Confidence Actually Begins

Back in 2018, a small group of financial educators sat around a Brisbane coffee shop and noticed something troubling. People were managing household budgets without understanding compound interest. Making investment decisions based on friends' advice rather than sound principles. Building lives on shaky financial ground.

We weren't looking to start another company. But the gap between what schools taught and what people actually needed was massive. So synaroventhi started in a shared office space with three instructors and a simple idea: teach personal finance the way it should have been taught in the first place.

Seven years later, we're still that same team at heart. Just bigger. And hopefully better at explaining why your superannuation matters more than you think.

Built on Real Questions Every course we create starts with actual questions people ask when they're confused about money. Not what we think they should learn, but what they're genuinely struggling with at 11pm on a Tuesday.

Teaching Money Skills That Stick

Financial literacy sounds boring until you realize it's the difference between stress and sleep. Between hoping things work out and knowing they will. We focus on the practical stuff because theory without application is just trivia.

Start Where You Are

No judgment about past decisions or current situations. Everyone's financial journey looks different, and comparing yourself to others is pointless. We meet you exactly where you stand today.

Learn By Doing

Reading about budgets doesn't create budgets. Our courses include actual exercises using your real numbers. Sometimes it's uncomfortable, but that discomfort is where the learning happens.

Long-Term Thinking

Quick fixes don't exist in personal finance. Building wealth takes time, patience, and consistency. We teach strategies that compound over decades, not weeks.

How We Actually Teach This Stuff

Financial education fails when it's too theoretical or too complicated. Our approach strips away the jargon and focuses on what matters. These are the core methods we use across every course.

01

Plain Language Always

The finance industry loves complicated terms. We don't. If a concept can't be explained in everyday words, we rethink how we're teaching it. No unnecessary jargon, no showing off with terminology.

02

Real Scenarios

Every lesson includes examples from actual Australian households. Young couples buying their first property. Parents managing school expenses. Retirees planning income streams. Real situations you recognize.

03

Tools You Can Use

Spreadsheets, calculators, templates. We provide practical tools that work in your daily life, not just during the course. Most students still use our budget tracker years after finishing.

04

Ongoing Support

Questions don't stop when courses end. Our instructor team answers emails, reviews your work, and helps you apply concepts to your specific circumstances. Learning continues beyond the final lesson.

Who's Behind The Lessons

Our instructors have diverse backgrounds in financial planning, accounting, and economics. But more importantly, they remember what it's like to be confused about money.

Declan Rourke

Lead Instructor, Core Finance Programs

Declan spent fifteen years as a financial adviser before joining synaroventhi in 2019. He got tired of only helping wealthy clients and wanted to reach people earlier in their financial journeys. His specialty is breaking down superannuation strategies so they actually make sense.

Before morning coffee, he's already answered three student emails. That's just how he operates.

Financial Literacy For Everyone

Money stress affects health, relationships, and life choices. We believe financial education shouldn't be reserved for people who can afford expensive advisers. Our courses are designed to be accessible while maintaining rigorous, practical content that creates real change.

New program cohorts begin in September 2025 and February 2026. If you're ready to build genuine financial confidence, we're here to guide that journey.
